The monument "Tunduk" is dedicated to the 2200th year of Kyrgyz Statehood (2003). The words "government" (statehood) and "tunduk" signify union, which then implies the concept of reliability, fortitude and wholeness. Both words are accepted by society as carrying the meaning of the constructive building of peace. (Both words carry the meaning of the constructive building of peace.)

The "tunduk" is the kupola of the nomad's home. The very house "Boz ui," highly mobile, is an easily built and taken down dwelling, because of its very light and natural construction and its spherical form. Despite its place deep in ancient history, it is still popular today. "Tunduk" is the rim, the crown of the yurt (boz ui), the lighted window, the smoke hole, directed towards the sky, the sun sign its ornamental motif. The crossings in the circular rim have meaning as a national symbol of the four cardinal directions.

Being the state emblem, this sun sign is understood as the people of Kyrgyzstan, confirming the idea that "Kyrgyzstan is our common home". Accepting the emblem's deep meaning, we see in it the sign of home, a national relic, an image of childhood, and the culture of the Kyrgyz people.

Ìîíóìåíò "Òóíäóê" ïîñâÿùàåòñÿ Ãîäó Êûðãûçñêîé Ãîñóäàðñòâåííîñòè (2003). Ñëîâà "ãîñóäàðñòâåííîñòü" è "òóíäóê" îçíà÷àþò åäèíåíèå, ïîä êîòîðûì ïîäðàçóìåâàþòñÿ ïîíÿòèÿ íàäåæíîñòè, ïðî÷íîñòè, öåëîñòíîñòè. Òî è äðóãîå ñëîâî íåñóò â ñåáå ñìûñë êîíñòðóêòèâíîãî óñòðîéñòâà ìèðà, ïðèåìëåìîãî îáùåñòâîì.

Òóíäóê _ ýòî êóïîëüíàÿ ÷àñòü äîìà êî÷åâíèêà. Ñàì äîì "Áîç óé" - ñáîðíî-ðàçáîðíîå æèëèùå, ëåãêîå, ñîâåðøåííîå ïî ñâîåé áèîíè÷åñêîé êîíñòðóêöèè è ñôåðè÷åñêîé ôîðìå, ïðåäåëüíî ìîáèëüíîå. Íåñìîòðÿ íà ãëóáîêóþ äðåâíîñòü ïîïóëÿðåí è ïîíûíå. Òóíäóê _ îáîä, âåí÷àþùèé þðòó ("Áîç óé"), ñâåòîâîå îêíî, äûìîõîä, îáðàùåííûé ê íåáó çíàê ñîëíöà, åãî îðíàìåíòàëüíûé ìîòèâ. Êðåñòîâèíà âïèñàííàÿ â êðóã îáîäà â íàðîäíîé ñèìâîëèêå îçíà÷àåò ÷åòûðå ñòîðîíû ñâåòà.

ßâëÿÿñü ýìáëåìîé ãîñóäàðñòâà ýòîò çíàê ñîëíöà îñåíÿåò ñîáîé íàðîäû Êûðãûçñòàíà, óòâåðæäàÿ èäåþ: "Êûðãûçñòàí _ íàø îáùèé äîì". Âîñïðèíèìàÿ îáúåìíóþ ýìáëåìó òóíäóêà, ìû óçíàåì â íåì çíàê Äîìà, íàðîäíóþ ðåëèêâèþ, îáðàç äåòñòâà, êóëüòóðó êûðãûçîâ.
