Sohrab Rabie left behind a busy career life in Los Angeles, California in 1998 and moved to the tranquil setting of Vancouver Island, Canada, where he began to fulfill his lifelong dream of being an artist.

Born in Tehran in 1963, Sohrab spent his childhood in Iran and moved to Canada at the age of twelve. The philosophy behind his painting is greatly influenced and inspired by the culture of his roots.

During a trip to Iran, Sohrab visited the Farshchian Gallery at the Sa'adabad Palace Museum in Tehran. He felt an immediate connection to Farshchian's Persian miniature style and began art classes with one of his most gifted students, Mohammad Khazaei. Sohrab feels this style is the best to his express his inner dreams and thoughts and to visualize his feelings. With his new found creative tools to express his views, Sohrab has embarked on a new life's journey. Sohrab's work can be seen in private collections throughout Canada, the United States and Iran.
